Taking reference from the caustics created in the ‘Effects Cave demo’ by Epics games I was able to create the effect efficiently. this was a quick and educational process, now, I know more about light functionality in unreal engine 4.
I am proud of what I had achieved, however, I certainly need to improve upon my skills using the Matinee editor. through the process of animation I made a number of errors which could have been avoided.
Nonetheless, I completed the document and peer assessments on the day of hand-in. the peer review was not so easy to complete however. I did feel uncomfortable writing about my team members, especially since we had been working on the project for so long that I knew my options would be more harsh than normal.
Yet, the documents were completed and I even got the chance to add some cool shots of my work:
Furthermore, I am excited about working on 3 personal project to improve my skills as an artist: A Space invader mini-game, teenage boxer character and a 3D realistic sculpt of the character Blastoise.
