I am gladdened by the outcome of the presentation last week, yet there has been no time to celebrate as there was still much work to be done on my essay. By this time the essay was written,. nonetheless, It still required polishing. Furthermore, I was quite considerably over the word count limit required for our submission.
rush, rush
I wanted the essay to resonate with the reader at the same time I wanted to make the essay as personal as possible. Therefore I began the essay with a question “Why do I want to become a character artist?” Throughout the essay, I would endeavour to justify my thesis on this question through example and observation.I would accumulate an answer in the conclusion.
For the main body of the essay, throughout the 3 elements of character art, as previously mentioned . I spoke about the character art in previous generations of video games, character art in modern day video games and the impact of character art in the video games industry. Following this I would speak about my experience throughout the dichotomous character project and what character art means to me. Afterwards I would round off every point by highlighting the mistakes of the character project from what I’ve learned about character art and how I can apply these lessons to future character art projects.
Writing the bibliography was a challenge, because I had to check my source reference was valid and in accordance to the harvard system of referencing. On the other side, inducing images was enjoyable in comparison, it made my essay more appealing visually. the final task was getting my essay review by my tutors. It was a fearful task, however, despite highlighting a few minor mistakes, Avril and the tutors commended me for establishing a well-developed essay.
