Next on my list was to complete the dancing mushroom as seen in the concept:
This was an enjoyable process for I was given full creative freedom for the 3d design of the dancing mushroom. Therefore, I wanted to sculpt the mushroom using Zbrush.
Thus, I created albedo, metalness, roughness and normal maps for the minecart in a day. I wanted to get this phase completed as quickly as possible in order to move on. I did run into small issues with texturing the minecart. Examples being the metal handle bars on the minecart. At first they seemed displaced from the rest of the textures on the minecart. However, with the help of my peer, Luke Day, I was able to overcome this issue. Now I am confident that I have created a believable Victorian mining cart.
Lastly, this week, I've been able to get back to maintain a stable work life balance. since the rush of deadlines, I haven’t been able to exercise properl; returning to the gym felt like being welcomed back home after a long journey. I was even able to spend a night with friends.
